INSURANCE POLICY & INFORMATION

* All our vehicles are equipped with real time GPS tracking devices *

Our PRESTIGE insurance includes:

• Third party liability
  this insurance covers the damage you inflict on third parties with your car or ATV/Quad. This damage can be either material or physical
• Theft and vandalism protection coverage
  covers the costs in case of theft or vandalism of the rental car. In that case the insured will have to pay in full the agreed excess. ATVs/Quads are fully exempt and in case of theft you will have to pay the full amount of the excess (1800e) regardless if you’ve purchased the full insurance during your online booking.
• Fire protection coverage
  covers the costs in case of fire on the rental vehicle and in taht case the insured will have to cover the amount of the agreed excess.
• P.A.I. Personal accident insurance
  it provides compensation to the authorized driver(s) and passengers in the event of injury,
  disability or death caused by accidental events.
• C.D.W. Collision damage waiver
  covers damage to the rental car in case of an accident with a second party on the public road
• The insured driver(s) is/are responsible for the first 1500 to 3000 euros for damage depending the car/ATV category (listed below). Minimum risk warranty super collision damage waiver (Full Insurance) which drops the excess to the indicated amount depending on the car category you’ve booked is available to buy as an extra during your booking process.
• Replacement of car in case of breakdown or accident. (Strictly depending on availability)

Insurance is void in the following events :

• The driver of the vehicle is under the influence of alcohol or any drug(s) including perscription that cause sleepiness/dizzyness.
• The vehicle is driven by any person not named in the contract agreement.
• The vehicle is operated on any unformed road (offroad) including any beach, trail, forest, etc.
• Driver failure to follow the Highway Code while driving the vehicle.
• The hirer does not report to the owner an accident or damage to the vehicle within 12 hours of the incident occurring, unless extenuating circumstances make this not possible.
• Costs to replace keys which have been lost or damaged and the retrieval of keys which have been locked inside a vehicle.
• Any damage caused inside or outside the car from incorrect or violent use from the hirer and/or the passengers.

DRIVER’S AGE

Drivers must be over 21 years old, over 23 for some categories & over 25 for ATVs/Quads. The driver must have a valid driving license for at least 1 year.

BABY & BOOSTER SEATS

Baby & Booster seats are available to rent for an additional cost. However we cannot accommodate newly borns under 1 year old and in that case the client is responsible in providing an apropriate seat for the child. The quality of the baby seats are not in any way guaranteed but the customer reserves the right to choose the seat according to availability. 

THE MINIMUM RENTAL

The minimum rental is one day for renting any vehicle.

FUEL IN THE CAR

All fuel expenses are covered by the person, renting the car/ATV. (There is no full tank charge amount.) How you receive the tank the same amount you must return it. Failing to do so, an additional charge plus 24% VAT will be applied.

FERRYING THE CAR AND CROSSING THE BORDERS

You can take our cars but not our ATVs/Quads out of Corfu island using ferry companies but you need our pre authorization in advance. Mainland ferrying fee is 100 euros extra. Crossing the borders of Greece is highly forbidden and illegal.

HIRE EXTENSION

There is a minimum of 24 hours required for extensions to your contract. Due to availability in high season we cannot guarantee any extension, but we will do our best to accommodate your request or offer alternatives.

TRAFFIC FINES

If you will be caught breaking the highway code, you will have to pay the fine with your own funds. We can help you at anytime regarding the greek bureaucracy.

ADDITIONAL DRIVER

Except the main driver there can be an additional driver free of charge, over 21 and at least 1 year old driving license is mandatory. Strictly only the named drivers on the contract can drive the vehicle. If a 3rd anauthorised person uses the vehicle (cars, ATVs & Quads) the insurance agreement will be void and therefore not valid.

BREAKDOWN

To ensure you have a relaxed and stress-free journey for our customers who opted for the full insurance we provide free 24 hour mechanical breakdown assistance with Europ Assistance. Wherever you are just phone one of our phone numbers or contact us via whatsapp or viber with your exact location and we secure for you the help as quickly as possible.

PICK UP/DROP OFF OUTSIDE OFFICE HOURS

We are available for 24 hours upon request, but there is a fee of 20€ for late night delivery. For late night (22:00pm – 08:00am) drop off (airport) there is not a fee and we will inform you about the drop off instructions at the time of the vehicle delivery.

BEING LATE WITH RETURNING THE CAR

When you don’t return the vehicle at the agreed stated time on the contract we will give you half an hour extra period. After an hour of being late you will be charged an hourly rate of 5€ per hour up to 5 hours where then a full day’s rental will be charged.

ACCIDENT

If you are in the unfortunate event of an accident with your rental vehicle, please immediately call one of our phone numbers, and we can help you in the communication with the police, insurance company and/or with the participants. We will ask that you do not admit liability in any circumstance.Where possible, take some photos of the accident site and the damaged vehicles. We always need to obtain a police report that will help our insurance company to gauge who was at fault.

FLEET AVAILABILITY

Our company reserves the right to provide a different car model to that originally reserved of an equivalent or higher (more expensive) model type.

EARLY RETURN

It is vital and super important that you are precise with the return time of the vehicle when we ask you while we are filling the contract. Parking is extremely difficult and we need to have a clear time schedule of the cars returning and leaving our premisses. Give or take 20 minutes from our arranged return time is fine as it can understandably be attributed to traffic conditions. However any more than that and you will be responsible for the car until our rental agreement expires (arranged time of drop off on our contract/rental agreement).
